Mont Blanc, the white mountain, rises out of the Alps to claim the title of the highest peak in Western Europe. I’ve been lucky enough to snowboard in its 4810m shadow this week, from the base of Les Arcs 1950.

Stunning shots! I loved the one with the sun and the chairlift, and I agree with the remark about the Chaud Bar photo (love the repeating pattern there with the mountain and the building roof line).
Thank you! Most of the Les Arcs complex feels like a movie-set, to be honest. It’s very well designed – particularly for people like me (whose bones ache by the end of a day on the slopes!)
wow i’ve never been a big fan of snow but they are some beautiful photos
The shot with the chairlift and the sun coming through makes me wanna jump right onto the next chair in the picture! :-)
Any good tips on how to protect the camera on the slopes (from falling and the cold/snow)? I’m guessing you took it with you in a backpack. Or should I just get a good camera insurance and hope not to fall?
