Around Mont Blanc – White Mountains at Sunset

Sunset in Les Arcs

Mont Blanc, the white mountain, rises out of the Alps to claim the title of the highest peak in Western Europe. I’ve been lucky enough to snowboard in its 4810m shadow this week, from the base of Les Arcs 1950.

Enjoy these photos as part of Photo Friday at Delicious Baby.

  1. These are beautiful! Your picture of Chaud Bar, Les Arcs looks like a movies set! Thanks for blogging.

Stunning shots! I loved the one with the sun and the chairlift, and I agree with the remark about the Chaud Bar photo (love the repeating pattern there with the mountain and the building roof line).

Thank you! Most of the Les Arcs complex feels like a movie-set, to be honest. It’s very well designed – particularly for people like me (whose bones ache by the end of a day on the slopes!)
