At The Doors of the Ice Hotel

IceHotel Sweden Door

Tonight it's a balmy -18 deg C. Warm enough for iPhones to come back to life...

Last night it was -40. .Too cold for cameras to cope…

I’m here at the Ice Hotel Sweden. And I’m going in…

Tune in on the #icelab hashtag or visit the on the road section for live updates. Alternatively, wait til I thaw out and write more here on the blog!

For in the depths of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer – Camus

Disclosure – I’m paying a reduced rate to stay here in Sweden but all snowy eyelashes, writing, opinions and photos remain my own. Interested in visiting the Ice Hotel yourself? Check out the details from Discover the World here.

I see the sense in what you’re saying! But it’s soooooo beautiful! And..when it’s minus 40 outside the minus 5 of the ice hotel actually starts to feel warm…;-)

This place looks amazing. It would be so awesome to just go there and experience the hotel. However, I think it would be way too cold for me!
