Keep Going – With Projects That Make You Come Alive

I’m never quite sure what to say when Easter swings around. It sashays onto the calendar in many parts of the world, yet it’s interpreted in so many different ways. As a time for sorrow, prayer and then jubilation. As a time for eating a lot of chocolate and trying not to cheat when playing hunt-the-eggs with children. Of making the most of four days in a row to redecorate the house or of holding the fort in hospitals, police stations, airports and the armed services in both a metaphorical and literal way.

Now’s the time to keep going – or more likely resurrect – those New Year’s Resolutions. It’s time to think about those projects that make you come alive.

And if you aren’t lucky enough to be doing that right now?

“If you’re going through hell, keep going.”

Winston Churchill

Happy Easter Everyone.

Good luck! And if you feel yourself running out of steam, just reach for more post-it notes and highlighters, I reckon!

I’m glad that we’re not alone because Easter snuck up on both me and my husband this year. It was definitely refreshing to celebrate it in an untraditional way in New Orleans. Here the locals share a 24-hour party spirit and when a holiday rolls around, they respond with a parade. We got caught up in two over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the revelry! It was a perfect way to relax before starting the week’s projects.

Oh, I hadn’t heard of that way of celebrating before! I was in Seville, where the processions in Holy Week are taken very, very seriously.

New Orleans takes a lot of liberties with everything and there’s definitely something for everyone here!
