An Emergency Antidote…

Yesterday, the  Eyjafjallajoekull volcano in Iceland erupted, spreading a thick cloud of ash across western Europe. This prompted unprecedented restrictions on air travel, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to abandon their travel plans.

As it happens, I was one of them.

I won’t bore you with the tedious details of phone calls, cancellation fees and general mayhem nor the disappointment of all the opportunities I’m going to miss or the friends and family I’m not going to see. As we all know, far worse things happen in life.

Instead, here’s a calming picture of the mountains on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees in Catalunya. I’m going to keep looking at it and keep on counting to ten…

For more travel photos, see Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday. I visited these mountains as a guest of the Catalunya Tourist Board.
