A Nifty Gift for Travelling Tech Folk: Inspiremycase

Yes, yes, I know. It is only October and here I am talking about Christmas. But if it’s early enough for my in-laws and my email inbox, then it’s early enough for you!

Allow me to introduce a fun little device that’s been sent my way from InspiremyCase. The idea is straightforward – you upload your own ravishing design onto their website and they turn it into a snazzy case for your Blakcberry/Samsung/iDevice/modern gadget.

I’ll admit, I had low expectations when the trial coupon came my way. The last time I tried to put one of my images onto a piece of kit, it ended up looking worse than the time I superglued orange lentils to an empty tub of margarine, covered it in glitter and handed it to my mother. (In my defence, I was a child – a small child – at the time. But still. It’s a naff gift. And every time I see it, ┬álentils balding to reveal 1980s fat spread advertising, I hang my head in shame.)

Luckily, this time was different. In a pique of inexcusable egotism, I uploaded a the logo from this blog. (I could try to tell you that I wanted to test how the colours bled and how the fine swirls of the text came out but, to be honest, these were secondary considerations.)

Here’s the result:

Not too bad, eh?

Of course, when I travel about and use my phone all the time for instagram, twitter and the like, I usually end up dropping it and so this sleek kind of case isn’t enough. When travelling, I add in the ultra practical Otterbox case which allows me to play basketball with my phone with nothing to show for it other than some rather surprised looks from passers by.

So there you are. If you’re stuck for ideas for a travelling friend of yours and you’re organised enough to do something before mid to late December (shipping takes around a week) then have a look at InspiremyCase.┬áRemember that every purchase you make makes absolutely no difference to me whatsoever since I’m only recommending this product because I like it.

Prices start at $39.95 with InspiremyCase and $19.95 with OtterBox

PS – Don’t panic relatives! There’s still a chance to get me a personalised InspiremyCase iPad case ;) Mwahahah. Oh, I’m so funny (At least you think so – Ed.)

Super cute! I just broke my case so I’m on the lookout for a new one. Might take a peek at this brand. Thanks!

It’s good fun to create it from scratch – enjoy!

I bought my case from http://www.likemycase.com

It looks like these people have copied them! haha

Anyway, if you like these, then go to likemycase.com as I think you’d be even more psyched!!
