Beach Thursday at the Riviera Maya
It’s one of those days. My fingertips are racing across the keyboard, images of cinnamon, chilli spice and chocolate dance through my head and my notebook overfloweth with scribbles of what I have seen. Or, more accurately, my iPhone struggles to process the flotilla of snapshots, text daubs and audio clips I’ve amassed over the last few days.
I’ve loved my time in Mexico, however brief it has been. I’ve loved the flavours, the colours, the history and the stunning, mind-soothing views of pure water reaching out to touch the sky (see Exhibit A above.)
I’ve also loved catching up with my good friend Isabelle Kenis, blogger extraordinaire and founder of the appropriately named Beach Thursday.
So as a toast to her and her work, here’s a photo of a beach published on a Thursday. (I’m clever like that, eh?!)
I’ll be back to regularly scheduled blogging soon enough, with tales from Mexico plus Australia, Colombia and Italy to boot. But first I have a plane to catch. And, by the look of the mayhem strewn across the room, some urgent packing to attend to.
Enjoy the beach. It’s a beautiful one.
Disclosure: I travelled to Mexico courtesy of the lovely Viceroy Riviera Maya Hotel. All opinions are mine. All ideas are mine. Except, perhaps, for posting a picture of a beach on a Thursday. But I think I’ve explained that part already.

Sounds like you’re back in business! I can almost see a smile just by reading your chirpy words. Glad that you girls are having a good time on the beach. Miss you!
You too. You would have loved it – there was a mojito lesson and everything!
Calm and Pristine beach to relax. Nice place to travel.
Agreed
You can’t beat Mexico for some of its beaches! How I miss the place, I will hopefully retire there one day.
I can see why that would be a tempting plan…I’m tempted myself!
Wow, what gorgeous scenery! I’d love to be laying back in a hammock enjoying the view then paddle into the beautiful blue for a quick dip. That said, I am so lucky to live across the road from another stunning beach in South Australia. Fresh lobster whenever we like :-)
I’m looking at grey clouds right now and my laundry still hasn’t dried from two days ago in this damp. Enjoy that beach on my behalf! And the lobster too :)
