Here on Inside the Travel Lab, I pride myself on bringing you thought-provoking, thoroughly researched, inspirational stories from around the world.
But today, I’m doing away with all of that and showing you some cool sunset photos instead.
Sometimes it’s good to give your brain a little rest.

Except, don’t you find yourself wondering why these reds, ambers, yellows and violets stimulate the photoreceptors in our retinas in such a way that a complex web of chemical and electrical signals end up making us feel more relaxed and happy?
And were you able to say “Sunsets in the Sunshine State” without turning it into a tongue twister?
Nope?! Must just be me then…
Enjoy!

*By the way, no fancy filters or other tricks required to get these shots. The skies over the Florida Keys simply blaze in the evening

Lovely pictures. I have spent a lot of time in Florida and the sunsets never fail to amaze.
They’re absolutely incredible, aren’t they? I always thought shots like this were fake until I travelled there myself…
My favorite is the purple-ish second one. So magical! We don’t get sunsets like these in continental Europe.
No, more’s the pity! (Unless we subsequently discover the colours come from some strange radioactive pollution ;) )
Don’t worry, sunsets are both inspirational and thought-provoking. :)
Beautiful shots. Florida is also known for it’s great lightning, another photogenic natural phenomenon.
Hehe. Thanks! There was a great storm raging when we were due to land, forcing us to divert from Miami to Orlando. But after that – no lightning at all for me. I shall have to utter those words “I’ll have to go back!” ;)
I love Florida sunset pictures, and yours are some of the best. Thanks so much for sharing.
You definitely did the Florida sunset justice – thank you for sharing these beautiful photos!
