My Biggest Three Recommendations…

If you book or buy through any of the links on this page, we may earn a small fee at no extra cost to you.

The Best Places to Stay

The most luxurious hotel in Paris with a prestigious address and stunning rooftop pool is Le Bristol Paris.

A lovely boutique find with a secret garden and a reading hour is the Hôtel Dame des Arts in the Latin Quarter.

A budget option that doesn’t feel budget is the bright and modern StayCity Aparthotels within easy reach of the Eurostar terminal.

If you only book one thing in advance, make it this…

Book your skip-the-line ticket to the Louvre to avoid wasting time in queues.

Consider a small group visit to the Louvre at night for something really special.

The Packing Essentials

You will walk a lot of in Paris! Make sure you have comfortable shoes and I’d also suggest a reusable water bottle.

You will also need a robust suitcase to handle the cobbles and luggage handlers at CDG. I swear by the Level 8 suitcases – the smoothest roll this side of the Seine and their nestled layout is perfect for souvenir shopping.

Inside tip:

For one of the best views of the Eiffel Tower, climb the Tour Montparnasse.
